Freida Pinto Will be the Next Bond Girl

Freida Pinto is to become the next Bond Girl. The Slumdog Millionaire star has signed a multi-million pound deal to play the lead character’s love interest in the 23rd James Bond movie, which is set in Afghanistan.

Director Sam Mendes is very excited about Freida being apart of the Bond movie legacy had been trying to get the actress to accept the part for months. At first, he says, Freida was nervous about taking the role. However, Mendes believes that this is the “most ambitious ‘007′ yet.”

The Queen is in it’s first draft and James Bond will once again be played by actor Daniel Craig, who is thrilled to have Freida as his c0-star.

U.S. actress Olivia Wilde has been approached to play a double-crossing UN worker while Freida’s real-life boyfriend Dev Patel is  also star in  the film.
