Ray J and Brandy “the New Donnie and Marie?”
I must admit that VH1 has the best reality tv. Don’t miss A Family Biz at 9pm.
Wives, Not Really
VH1’s new reality series Basketball Wives premieres Sun, Apr. 11 at 10p ET and it looks pretty hot although they probably should have called the show Basketball Ex-wives, because most of the cast is either divorced, broken up or single. The cast includes Shaunie O’Neal (Shaq’s wife, who is the show’s Executive Producer and don’t count on seeing her in many episodes;) Gloria Govan (fiance of Matt Barnes,) Evelyn Lozada (ex-fiance of Antoine Walker,) Suzie Ketcham (ex-wife of Michael Olowokondi,) Jennifer Williams (wife of Eric Williams,) and Royce (some NBA cheerleader.) Fantasia’s Boytoy Won’t be on the Show
So last weekend I attended Kenyon Martin’s party at Wish Ultra Lounge in Dallas and ran into an old high school classmate who lives in Philly and happens to be buddies with Fantasia’s married boyfriend Antwaun Walker. And although Walker has been attending events with Fanny and even recently moved into her North Carolina home, my friend says that he will not make any appearances on the second season of VH1′s reality series Fantasia For Real. Apparently, he’s not having it.
More Kate Gosselin to Come
Just when you were hoping this season of DWTS would be the last we would see of Kate Gosselin, the mother of eight just managed to get two more TV deals. The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will headline her own show, Twist of Kate, on TLC, the network announced on Apr. 8. The 12 episode show will chronicle Kate as she answers supposed fan mail and then travels cross country to meet families and try their jobs. “I look at it as a loose concept,” Gosselin told USA Today. I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don’t consider myself an expert on anything.” (Sounds truly boring, huh?) The second tv deal will be a series of shows that display Kate’s own family life, now as a single mother. (What else?) Jon & Kate Plus 8 was canceled last year after ex-husband Jon said he didn’t want his kids being filmed anymore.
Chad Ochocinco Vh1’s Next Ladies Man
Just when I was really feeling Chad Ochocinco, he had to go and pull a reality show move. We can now add Chad to the list of Flava Flavas, Ray J’s and Bret Michaels. The Cincinatti Bengals wide receiver and DWTS contestant is next in line to have a show which will involve a host of nasty, skank, fame-seeking hoes. I’ve now lost all respect for him. But I’m sure it will be entertaining. The Tournament will follow Chad around the country to meet 85 potential dates. The final 16 will then compete in “a tournament-style dating competition,” with the women facing off against each other in double dates. At least the plot seems different. VH1 has ordered 10 episodes of the show.
